Faith Choir, accompanied by a brass ensemble, will present John Rutter’s exciting Gloria. The congregation will also get a chance to be part of the choir as they join in singing some of the carols from A Carol Fantasia. This uplifting holiday music will prepare us to celebrate the birth of the Christ Child.

“Music From The Broadway Stage to the Hollywood Screen...AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN,” - The title says it all.  International recording and performance artist , Tommy O, will be sharing his talent in this concert of familiar songs.  Tommy O performs yearly in the Southwest Florida area as well as in Branson, Missouri, Las Vegas, and Canada; and he has special ties to many folks here at Faith. Peter Richard Conte, concert organist - Peter Richard Conte is Grant Court Organist of the world famous Wanamaker Organ in Philadelphia’s Lord and Taylor department store. With six-manuals and 28,000 pipes, the Wanamaker Organ is the largest fully functioning musical instrument in the world. Mr. Conte is an organist whose great skill and innovative style can be appreciated by all audiences and he is highly regarded for his organ transcriptions of well-known orchestral and operatic pieces. Cape Coral Handbell Festival - Handbell Choirs from around Southwest Florida will gather for a day of ringing followed by a public concert at 4:00 p.m. The mass choirs will be under the direction of two noted handbell composers and conductors, Arnold Sherman from Tyler, Texas and Michael Helman of Cape Coral. Melody Booth Orchestra - Back by popular demand, your favorite big band in Southwest Florida returns with music by all your favorite big band classics. This year, the event will be in our new Faith Center; and we will have a dance floor set-up for all those who just can’t sit still to the music of Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, and Benny Goodman. This concert is underwritten by Charles E. Muncatchy.

Stella Zedro and Mary Hicks Viger, pianists - Duo piano artists Stella Zedro and Mary Hicks Viger will present a varied program of music for two pianos. Both Stella and Mary have performed extensively both as soloists and as duo pianists in America as well as France. Their program will include works of Mozart and Bach, as well as the famous Toccata by Widor and excerpts from Aaron Copland’s Billy the Kid. While Mary resides in France, Stella is a resident of Cape Coral and a member of Faith Presbyterian. Tickets price: $10.

Good Friday, April 2, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

Faith Choir and soloists accompanied by a chamber orchestra will present Requiem by John Rutter. This moving and inspirational work will set the tone for our Good Friday commemoration of our Lord’s passion and crucifixion.
